First, I just want to start this post by saying I am not here to talk politics. I feel it is crucial to voice your values and beliefs through voting and that 100% why I vote. I've been voting via mail in ballot for years now and I'm looking forward to dropping this bad boy off at the Ballot Box today!
Now, back to the FOOD! I am already plotting and planning SO many delicious appetizers, desserts, side dishes & main meals for the upcoming holiday season.... And I'd love your feedback! How are you enjoying the content and recipes I have put together thus far? I am still navigating building my websites and trying to keep it as user friendly as possible. But most important is how you receive the recipes and website. Please comment below or shoot me an email, I'd LOVE to hear from you!
On the list of my tried and true Holiday favorites (soon to be released!) will most definitely include meals, small bites and drinks that are staple traditions in our house. For example, My son insists on my homemade Hot Cocoa (with extra chocolate, of course) and Marshmallows every time we get the first real big snow storm of the season. He goes outside for hours and hours, building "Snow Families" around our yard, makes a small (yet effective enough to make my heart skip a beat) Sledding Ramp, as I watch from the front window. But what I love more is watching him warm up with my hot cocoa and telling me all about it. I wonder when we will get our first big storm!? Should we make bets?

Another recipe I can't wait to share with you is our Christmas Lasagna. As an Italian, I take my lasagna pretty seriously and this one does NOT disappoint. Mind you, I am all for making certain recipes multiple ways to experiment with flavors and ingredients but when it comes to tradition, there is only one way to make this Bolognese Béchamel Lasange for Christmas Day in this house! It's not about the dish itself, but the process; Rolling Fresh Pasta, two day Bolognese Sauce, Assembly of said Lasagne... It's a whole family affair so we only make it once a year (maybe twice if Jamason requests it for his birthday) and let me tell you- it is WORTH IT.
What are some of your traditions tied to food for the upcoming season? Or recipes you would like me to make? Comment below and I look forward to all of the cooking and baking ahead!!
